To renew passports: no appointment is needed but you must go there by 7:30 am on Saturdays and Mondays only. I suggest getting there before 7:00 am as the line outside forms quickly. Expect a looooooooooooong wait (4-5 hours is not uncommon). You must leave cell phones either outside or at the reception area, so plan for that. I think that all transactions must be paid with USD.
